Roy Whitmore

Roy Leslie Whitmore, age 82, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Baptist Saint Anthonys Hospice in Amarillo, Texas. He was born on September 8, 1928 to Calvin and Alta Hereford Whitmore in Clovis, New Mexico.

Roy was a Clovis resident all of his life. He graduated from Clovis High School and retired from Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of the Clovis Masonic Lodge 40 AF and AM, a Shriner, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Kingswood United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Trimble Whitmore, of Clovis, and one daughter, Connie Gary McKee of Amarillo. He is preceded in death by his parents first wife, Eva Clair one brother, Sonny Whitmore two sisters, Iona Fay Hyman and Clara Hay.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at SteedTodd Chapel in Clovis with Dr. Herbert Bergstrom officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
