Royce Christian

Royce Maudine Faris Foster Christian went home to be with our Lord Jesus on July 6 2017.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11 am at Lawn Haven Cemetery on Monday, July 10, 2017.

Royce was born in Clovis, NM on April 6, 1926 and was a life long resident of Clovis. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy See and Jimmie Maude Faris, her first husband of 45 years Edwin Franklin Foster, and her second husband of 9 years Wendol Christian.

Royce worked as a Candy Striper at Clovis Memorial Hospital where she met Edwin. After their marriage she worked in the cafeteria at James Bickley Elementary school and then was cafeteria manager at Highland Elementary School. She was known for her kind and loving spirit and dedication to her family. She planted seeds of kindness, humor and love of Jesus. She was an unselfish person and provided care for her first husband Edwin until his death, for her father Roy, and for her second husband Wendol until his death.

She is survived by a son Weldon Foster of Cahone, Colorado, and a daughter Kay (Dave) Posey of Clovis, NM. She is also survived by two brothers, Carroll (Marilyn) Faris of Rio Rancho, NM and Leon (Neda) Faris of Lubbock, Texas, also 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Those seeds continue to grow today and she passed on her legacy of kindness, compassion, giving, and love for the Lord to her family and friends.
