Ruby Jane Chapline, age 80, of Clovis, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born on February 18, 1931 in House, New Mexico to Cline and Irene Morrow Carpenter.
Ruby married Donald Chapline on May 1, 1953 in Clovis, and worked as an Escrow Officer. She was a longtime resident of Clovis. After she and Don lived in Farmington for forty years, they moved back to Clovis in 1999. Ruby loved to work in her flower garden and loved flowers. She worked in the banking industry for over 30 years, and retired from First National Bank in Farmington. Ruby also loved to knit and go camping, and was a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Donald, of the home one daughter, Janella Ryan Watson of Farmington two sons, Dwayne Georgia Chapline of Florence, AZ, and Daryle Chapline of Colorado Springs, CO two sisters, Laverne Spence Morris of House, and Lorayne Hall of Clovis two brothers, Willard Carpenter and Terry Cecilia Carpenter, both of Clovis one grandson, Christopher Chapline of Florence, AZ and one uncle, William Ruth Carpenter of Clovis.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and one sisterinlaw, Pearl Carpenter.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Kingswood United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Reid officiating.
