Ruby Belle Jones, 93, of Clovis, N. M., died Wed., Nov. 15, 2006 at Laurel Ridge Healthcare in Clovis. She was born Feb. 8, 1913 in Konawa, Okla. to H. S. and Jessie Price Anderson.
She married James Thomas Tom Jones Nov. 28, 1938. She lived in Curry County most of her married life and worked at Midwest Dry Goods in Melrose before moving to Clovis where she worked at Woolworths for years. She was a member of Sandia Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and making things for her family. She loved attending Wildcat basketball games and watching the Dallas Cowboy games.
She is survived by her children, Eldon Jones Waunita and their children, Bryan Jones and Rhonda Champouillon all of Clovis; Nadine Pruett and son Tommy Pruett of Warner Robbins, Georgia and Vernon Jones Maretta of Union, Oregon and sons, Jim, Tom, Bob, Dave, Ken and Jess Jones; 14 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister Luella Southard; brother Vernon Anderson; granddaughter Darlene Avinger and son-in-law, Buddy Pruett.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Baptist Childrens Home in Portales, N. M.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2006 at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis with Dr. Herbert Bergstrom officiating. Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
