Ruby Malone

January 3, 1926 — October 20, 2015

Jean Malone, 89, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on October 20, 2015.

The funeral service will be held at 10 AM (Mountain Time) on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Parkland Baptist Church. Wayne Boydstun will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 - 6:30 pm on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Steed Todd Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Grady Cemetery.

Jean was married to Jack Malone on August 11, 1945. They farmed in the Wheatland community for 22 years until Jack's death in 1970.

Jean is survived by her 4 children, Dawayne (Paula) Malone of Tucumcari, NM, Kay (Jeff) Johnson of Denton, Texas, Gary (Karla) Malone of Grady, NM and MaryAnn (Paul) Scott of Lubbock, Texas; Grandchildren, Konni (Rodney) Stubblefield, Jack (Sueann) Malone, Duane Deckard, LaDonna Malone, James (Codi) Malone, Jason (Kameron) Fellers, Carol Scott, Jenny (Scott) Fulton, Adam Malone, Lacye (Brad) Kalivoda, and Shane Chacon; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. There were many others that called her "Granny" and she loved them all. Jean is also survived by her 2 sisters; Marie Bennett of Upland, CA and Fran (Ray) Deigan) of Lake Elsinore, CA.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, James and Etna Carroll, a daughter, Jayn Deckard; two brothers, Aubrey Carroll and Leon Carroll; as well as two sisters, Mary McCann and Lorie Nelson.
