Ruby Pierce

Ruby B. Correll Pierce, age 100, of Melrose, NM died March 31, 2008 at Evergreen Health Care Center in Burkburnett, Texas. She was born October 5, 1907 in Leon County TX. Ruby married A.E. Pete Pierce, in Callahan County TX in 1932.

She was a dedicated mother homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ in Melrose, New Mexico.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Pete in November 1989, also 2 grandsons David Pierce, Scott Bolton, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 4 half sisters, and 1 half brother.

Survivors include 4 children, Teddy Pierce Wanda, of Burkburnett, TX; Patsy Bolton of Melrose; W.L. Happy Pierce Carol of Clovis; Judy Domer Tom, of Deer Park, TX; 2 brothers, C. P. Correll Jo Ann, of Rio Rancho, NM; A. D. Correll of Belen, NM; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Services will be at the Church of Christ in Melrose with Otho Rogers officiating at 2:00 PM Friday, April 4, 2008. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery.
