Ruby Smith

Ruby Smith, Age 91, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away on April 21, 2014 at Retirement Ranch in Clovis.

Ruby was born on July 22, 1922 to Jack and Beula Martindale Hiett in Samnorwood, TX. She married E.R. Smith on April 8, 1944 in Wellington, TX. She lived in Texas and then moved to Clovis where she has resided since 1956. Ruby enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, and various other church activities. She also enjoyed going to Branson, Missouri. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Ruby is survived by her daughter Kathy and husband Kerry Hubbell of Clovis, NM one son, Eldon Ray and wife Charlotte Smith of Hobbs, NM four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son, Gary Smith, and two brothers, Bill and J.B. Hiett.

Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Clovis, NM. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, NM. Casket bearers are Brendan Smith, Jeff Smith, Rick Hubbell, and Harlin Obenshain.
