Ruby Wright

Ruby Wright, age 77, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico.

Ruby was born September 16, 1934 in Abernathy, Texas to John and Eunice York Ellerd. She married E.M. Wright in Clovis, New Mexico September 5, 1951.She was an extraordinary homemaker who also helped her husband E.M. Wright build custom homes and also started Wright Overhead Door and Builder Supply, now known as Overhead Door Company of Clovis, New Mexico. She retired in 1988. Ruby enjoyed traveling, sewing, cooking and arts and crafts. She was a member of 16th and Pile Church of Christ.

She is survived by four daughters: Debbie Albert Jackson of Clovis, New Mexico Deena Dave Reinke of Waco, Texas DaLisa Wright of Clovis, New Mexico and Shawna WrightCarter of Clovis, New Mexico two sisters Olethia LeeRoy Joyce of Santa Barbara, California and Marie Richard Fisher of Salem, Oregon seven grandchildren: Shane Kathy Jackson, Jesse Jackson, Jeremiah Crystal Miller, Daniel Wright, Kirk Melissa Lebow, Bradley Carter and Cessna Carter and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, parents, one son Jhustan Wright, one grandson Jheffery Miller and two brothers: Alvin and Oyd Ellerd.

Although sad, her family rejoices for her new home with the Lord. She always had kind and encouraging words. Her beautiful smile reflected the love she had for the Lord.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 16th and Pile Church of Christ, Clovis, New Mexico with Garrett Bookout, officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.

Casket Bearers will be Albert Jackson, Dave Reinke, Shane Jackson, Jesse Jackson, Kirk Lebow, Daniel Wright and Ronny Stidham.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be all grandchildren and great grandchildren.
