Salvador Chavarria

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Salvador Chavarria, born on October 13, 1989, in Portales, NM. Salvador, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on April 14, 2024, in Lubbock, TX.

Salvador was a hardworking contractor , who took pride in his work and provided for his family with dedication. He was a loving husband to Mindy Chavarria and a devoted father to his children Salvador, Sarai, and Sebastian Chavarria. Salvador was also cherished by his parents Flor Bernal and stepfather Javier Bernal, Mother in law Patricia (Lupe) Alvarez, Father in law Cruz (Carol) Gomez his sisters Rosa (Misael) Acosta, Alexis Chavarria, and Lupita Chavarria (Antonio Lopez), his brother Alejandro Chavarria, brother in law Robert (Lauren) Gomez, grandmother "Ama" Abigail Chavarria and his extended family members.

Salvador was preceded in death by: father Salvador Chavarria, Stepmother Nelly Chavarria, grandfather "Apa" Juan Chavarria, three uncles and several cousins.

Salvador found joy in spending quality time with his family and friends, engaging in activities such as fishing, golfing, and cooking his favorite meals. Vacations were a special time for Salvador and his family making beautiful memories. His warm smile and caring nature touched the lives of all who knew him.

A Funeral Service to commemorate Salvador's life will be held at the Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel on April 20, 2024, at 10:00 am. Prior to the service, a Visitation will take place on April 19, 2024, at 6:00 pm to 9:00pm, at the same location.

Following the Funeral Service, Salvador will be laid to rest at 1600 Llano Estacado, Clovis, NM 88101

Officiating will be Jose Rico and Maria Chavarria.

Pallbearers are Jasmin Chavarria, Hugo Chavarria, Francisco Chavarria, Marco Chavarria, Chris Chavarria, Alejandro Chavarria, Joaquin Azua, Gerardo Rivera Jr, Matthew Rangel, Gilbert Lopez and Jacklyn Hernandez.

Salvador Chavarria's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
