Samuel S. Tapia, Sr., age 61 of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012 at his home. He was born on December 14, 1950 to the home of Victor and Ermalinda Sena Tapia in Clovis.
He was in the U.S. Navy and was a roofer by trade.
He is survived by one son, Sam Tapia, Jr. of Clovis, NM and two daughters, Emma Lee Tapia and Melissa Tapia, both of Clovis, NM two brothers, Jim Dodge of Santee, CA, and Juan Dodge of Clovis, NM grandchildren, Jazae, Lexy, and Samuel.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Ermalinda Tapia.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in the SteedTodd Chapel with Deacon Daniel Chavez, officiating. Inurnment will take place on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
