Sandra Monette Falks, 61, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away on October 25, 2023 in Lubbock, Texas at Covenant Oncology Wing.
Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Steed Todd Funeral Home in Clovis, New Mexico with Erick Welsh (Nephew) officiating. Arrangements are entrusted Steed Todd Funeral Home.
Sandi was born in Atwater, California to Paul and Pierrette Hungerford on July 1, 1962. She went to school at Texico, New Mexico. She married Dean Falks on October 26, 1984, in Clovis, New Mexico at St. James Episcopal Church.
Sandi had a passion for gardening. She planted, grew, and nurtured many roses, dahlias, tomatoes, strawberries, and herbs such as mint, lavender and basil. It was more to her than what people might categorize as a hobby. She took gardening mostly as a challenge. She planted and grew multiple lemon trees, a pineapple and many potted plants, that she purposely selected to feed nature's pollinators like butterflies, bees and hummingbirds, even though she ran away from bees waving her hands around her head while yelling "get away"! She had worked since she was 15 and was proud of that, but on the scale of life's most joys were her kids and grandkids whom she loved as much and even deeper than can be imagined. This love eventually flipped to grandkids first. She cherished every second of the cuddles, the hugs, the kisses, the laughter, the playtime spent with her grandkids and waited impatiently for every visit. She was the glue that kept the family together. She ensured that we knew the importance of family and even through its discomforts, it was still a priority that could not be ignored no matter how busy we got in our own lives. Her love had no end. She fostered puppies for many years with organizations like Cindy's Hope and The Labor of Love Project because she was selfless, loving and felt a compelled sense of duty to protect these helpless puppies. She wanted to do her part so they could have a forever home. She loved, and was loved, as much as a person could ever be loved.
Sandi is preceded in death by Lionel Hungerford (Grandfather), Paul Hungerford (Father), Pierrette Hungerford (Mother), Ray Falks (Father-in-Law), and Jace Wilhite (nephew).
Sandi is survived by Dean Falks, Frisco and Tarryn Falks (Son and Daughter-in-Law), Kelani and Jonathan Mondragon (Daughter and Son-in-Law), Dennis and Marie Hungerford (Brother), Corrina and John Montano (Sister), Carrina Hungerford (Sister), (Grandkids) Story, Taytum, Spencer, Wilder, Rebel, Kruz, Tukker, Tawny and Patrick Phillips (Niece), Devon and Brittany Montano (Nephew), Dexter Correll (Nephew) and Kourtney Correll (Niece), Wanda Falks (Mother-in-Law) and many other loved and supportive family members.

Thank you for all the love and support.
