Sarah Nell Brown, age 85, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2011, at the Heart Hospital of Lovelace in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Sarah was born on August 9, 1926 in Newton, MO to John and Flossie McLean.
At the age of three, she and her family moved to Bovina, TX. She graduated from Bovina High School. On December 24, 1942, she married Clarence Brown in Clovis, New Mexico. She farmed alongside her husband on the Brown Homestead. She was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was involved with her childrens school activities and also Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, putting puzzles together, and crocheting.
Sarah is survived by two sons, Bo Brown and his wife Pattie of Clovis, NM, and Dale Brown and his wife Carolyn of Joshua, TX. two daughters, Lena Braithwaite and her husband Glenn of Belen, NM, and Loyce Bocock and her husband John of Edgewood, NM seven grandchildren Haley Coleman, Jared Brown, Donald Brown, Tracey Ray, Lisa Brown, Jeremy Bocock, and David Bocock six great grandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the SteedTodd Chapel with Rev. Gene Hawkins, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Serving as Casket Bearers will be her grandchildren, Haley Coleman, Jared Brown, Donald Brown, Tracey Ray, Lisa Brown, Jeremy Bocock, and David Bocock.
