Seferino Romero

Seferino Nino Romero, age 56, of Clovis, NM, passed away on October 2, 2013 in Lubbock, Texas at Covenant Medical Center.

Seferino was born on August 13, 1957 in Clovis, New Mexico to Joe and Mary Sanchez Romero. He was raised in Texico and Clovis, and later moved to Colorado seven years ago. Seferino moved back to Clovis in 2012. He worked as a truck driver while in Colorado, and as a handyman in Clovis. He enjoyed playing pool, watching his Denver Broncos, and hanging out with family. Seferino was a man full of laughter and jokes.

Seferino is survived by his daughter Jessica Gonzales of Thornton, Colorado his two sisters Teresa Ancira of Farwell, Texas and Sally Romero of Clovis, New Mexico his three grandchildren Jessalynn Romero, Denise Sanchez, and Gilbert Sanchez, all of Thornton, Colorado his fiance Shirley Romero of Commerce City, Colorado his four brothers Sammy Romero and Damian Romero of Clovis, New Mexico, David Romero of Friona, Texas and Tommy Romero of Bullhead City, Arizona.

Seferino is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary Romero, and his two brothers, Steven and Gabriel Romero.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, New Mexico. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, New Mexico with Father Fernando Saenz officiating. Pallbearers are Joe Romero, Jason Romero, Fabian Carrera, Jose Urioste, Fabian Martinez, Eddie Romero, Gilbert Sanchez, and D.J. Romero

The family will be at 500 West 18th St. Clovis, New Mexico.
