Sherwyne Aragon

Sherwyne Ann Aragon, age 66, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on June 26, 2012 at her home in Clovis, New Mexico.

Sherwyne was born on January 26, 1946 to Dewey and Blanche Podolsky VanValkenburg in Schenectady, New York. She married Joseph Aragon on November 14, 1964 at McDill AFB in Tampa, Florida. She has been a Clovis resident since 1972 and was employed as an accountant. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Clovis Chamber of Commerce. Sherwyne loved music, playing solitaire and having play dates with her grandson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Sherwyne is survived by her husband, Joseph, of the home two sons: Eugene Elaine Aragon of Mechaniscville, Maryland and Raymond Lourdes Aragon of Clovis, New Mexico one daughter: Rosanna M. Aragon of Moriarty, New Mexico one brother: William Barbara VanValkenburg of Rohnert Park, California and three grandchildren: Logan M. Aragon, Evan E. Aragon and Kyra E. Aragon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous aunts and uncles.

A Rosary will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at SteedTodd Chapel, 800 E. Manana Blvd, Clovis, New Mexico. Memorial Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Daniel Chavez officiating.
