Shirley K. White, 66, died Saturday, June 9, 2007 in Clovis after a battle with cancer. She was born December 16, 1940 in Grand Forks, N.D. to Jess and Sally Lunde Filipi. She married Les White July 27, 1985.
Mrs. White was the former Executive Secretary of Tourism for the Natural History Museum. She loved all of life including dancing and traveling, but especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Amber Workheiser Kenneth of Clovis, and Jessica Simpson Don of Los Lunas, NM, three sisters, Carol Roley Marvin of Elk River, MN, Fern Howard Tom of Scottsdale, AZ, and Cleo Walsh of Plains, WI, and two grandchildren, Kendahl Workheiser of Clovis, and Brandon Simpson of Los Lunas. She was preceded in death by her parents Jess and Sally Filipi and her husband Les White in 2003.
Memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care or a cancer society of your choice.
Cremation has taken place and no service will be scheduled as per her request.
