Sinfarosa Rose Moya age 74 of Clovis died Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Plains Regional Medical Center. She was born July 25, 1933 in Yeso, New Mexico to Margarito and Eulogia Marquez Mares. She came to Clovis in 1955 and married John Tiny Moya December 2, 1961 in Clovis. She worked for Leslies Candy Company and then for the Clovis Municipal School where she retired as a cook for the school cafeterias. She loved to cook and bake not only for the kids in school but for her family and friends. She was a member of both Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband John Tiny Moya of Clovis. One daughter Martina Vale of Clovis, six brothers Robert Marez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Cipriano Marez of Clovis, Richard Mares of Clovis, Leo Mares of Clovis, Billy Mares of Austin, Texas, and George Mares of Clovis; two sisters Edie Valdez of Clovis, New Mexico and Peggy Banas of Los Angeles, California; two grandchildren Felicia Gaillard and Matthew Rivera; three great grandchildren Christopher, Tanaysha Gaillard, and Timothy Estrada all of Clovis; Numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant daughter Angelina Segura, three brothers Larry Marez, John Mares, and Sammy Marez; One sister Eva Lindley.
A Rosary will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tuesday September 4, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Carlos Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories. The family will be at 517 Corrales Rd, Pallbearers will be Teddy Marez, Steven Marez, Isaac Lopez, Michael Huerta, Melissa Marez, and Joe Moya. Honorary Pallbearers will be all her remaining God children.
