Steve Hughes

Steve W. Hughes, 46, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in Clovis. He was born November 5, 1961, in San Jose, California.

He graduated from Clovis High School in 1979 and graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a BA Degree in Business Administration. He co-owned and operated Mesa Financial and also owned and operated Roadmax Auto Sales Company. He also was a professional photographer for several years. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He loved to ride and race motorcycles and sports. He enjoyed playing the drums.

He is survived by his parents, Jim Barbara Hughes of the home in Clovis; son, Justin Hughes of Clovis; daughter, Olivia Hughes of Clovis; 2 sisters, Cheryl Gaedke Jeff of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Chrissy Nielsen Dane of Lubbock, Texas; niece, Brandy and nephew, Andy; 2 uncles, Milburn Moore Donna of Albuquerque and Billy D. Moore Lonna Jean of Tulsa, Oklahoma and numerous cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 7, 2008 at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Alan McAlister will officiate.
