Steven Duffield

Services to celebrate the life of Steven Leon Duffield will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Christian Family Church with Pastor David Swann and Farril DeFoor officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.

Steven Leon Duffield was born July 2, 1959 in Sherman, TX to Pat and Myles Duffield. He was child number three He grew up with 3 brothers and 3 sisters. The family moved to Clovis when Steve was in elementary school.

On November 24, 1979 Steve married the love of his life Melva Ann Niece. She was literally the girl next dooracross the street to be exact. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter Holly Ann who came along in 1983 and then another blessing in 1985, a son Landon Leon. Steve cherished his family and they were always first in his life. Steve was owner of Duffields Plumbing Inc. for the last 28 years. Landon has been his right hand man since he started going to help his dad as a very young boy. Steve was delighted and excited for the newest addition to his familyhis grandson Paxton will be born to Landon and Lacie this October.

Steve leaves behind his wife, Melva daughter, Holly Duffield of Gainesville, FL Landon and Lacie Duffield, and Paxton Duffield of Clovis his parents Pat and Myles Duffield of Clovis brothers Rick Duffield and wife Pam of Cornville, AZ Greg Duffield of Clovis, Brad Duffield and wife Becky of Clovis sisters Lisa Crusberg and Husband Clint of Delta Jct., AK Valerie Roberts and husband Ronny of Clovis and Monique Duffield of Clovis. Steve will be missed by his mother and father in law: Rita Melvin Niece, his brothers sisterin law: Jack Kim Bell and Allan and Robin Myers. Steve leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews all of whom he loved dearly.

Pallbearers will be Rick Duffield, Greg Duffield, Brad Duffield, Ronny Roberts, Jack Bell and Allan Myers. Honorary pallbearers are Dylan Madewell, Brandon Reid, James Fuller, Neil Krohn, and Greg Frazier. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Christian Family Church Power Force Kids, 3401 N. Norris, Clovis, NM 88101 or to the Lighthouse Mission, 407 L Casillas Blvd., Clovis, NM 88101.
