Sue Suzy Jane Harris

Sue Suzy Jane Harris passed away October 8, 2014 at her home in Clovis New Mexico. Suzy was an active member of Parkland Baptist Church in Clovis for a number of years. She was a member of Clovis Lady Golf Association and also helped with Kids Life operation Christmas Child. Suzy loved to play bridge, and was a member of The Christian Womens Club.

Suzy was a Post Master for 16 years for USPS. She also owned and operated the Clovis Fitness Center for many years. In 1958 she married Robert M. Harris from Sterling City, Texas. She and Robert had 3 sons Randall Mathew Harris of Clovis, NM Ronne Mark Harris Dana Jo of Clovis, NM and Robert Michael Harris of Hereford, TX. Suzy was a loving wife, mom, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by many.

Suzy is survived by Randall Mathew Harris, Ronne Mark Dana Jo Harris, 2 sisters Cisco Barron Nephew Matthew Barron and Becky Arey Tom. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren Robert Mathew Harris, Richard Mitchell Harris, Kimberly Megan Hatchett Jordan, Ryan Matthew Harris, Lindsay Elizabeth Harris, Rustin Mark Harris, Rallin Michael Harris, Jessica Jo Mitchell Christopher Joel and Jaryse Carol Harris. Also 4 great grandchildren Juliana, Caleb, Elijah, and Zayden.

Preceded in death by her parents Johnny Harry and Jo Darrel Thatcher, husband Robert M. Harris, son Robert Michael Harris, 2 sisters, 1 brother, 1 niece and 1 nephew.

Visitation will be held on Friday October 10, 2014 from 11am to 8pm. Services will be held at SteedTodd Chapel Saturday October 11, 2014 at 1:30pm. Interment will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Garden.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Baptist Church of Clovis or The Baptists Childrens Home in Portales.
