It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sylvia Louise Davis, who left us peacefully at her home with her husband Danny and son Bryan by her side on January 26, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on February 19, 1948, in Clovis, New Mexico to Joe and Louise Reid. Sylvia married Danny Davis on June 08, 1990.
Sylvia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose unwavering love and kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Sylvia dedicated her life to her family, cherishing every moment spent as a housewife and nurturing her children with unwavering devotion. In addition to her devotion to family, Sylvia contributed her talents and spirit to the community, having worked at the Clovis Sale Barn and Joe's Boot Shop. Her joyful nature and passion for her work made her a cherished member of the community.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Louise Reid, and her grandson, Landon Ward.
She is survived by her loving husband, Danny Davis; her son Bryan Miller and wife Katie of Lubbock; daughter Jody Miller of Clovis; stepdaughters, Kimberly Miller of Lubbock and Kristi Kennard and husband Jared of Lubbock; and her sister Sonya Chavez and husband Pedro of Whitesboro; 12 cherished grandchildren; and 8 adored great-grandchildren. Each of them carries a piece of her heart, and her legacy will continue to live on through them.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on February 4, 2025, at 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel.
Sylvia's warmth, compassion, and loving spirit will be profoundly missed, but her memory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. In this time of mourning, we find comfort in celebrating the beautiful life she lived and the enduring love she left behind.
