Terry Ardrey, 62, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He was born September 19, 1947 in Oakland, California to Elmer and Betsy Wade Ardrey.
He graduated from high school in Oakland. He served in the U. S. Army as a military policeman. He later worked as a supervisor for a newspaper. At one time he sang in a gospel mens group. He had also been a bodyguard for Richard Nixon. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clovis.
He is survived by three daughters, Shenieva Ardrey of Clovis, Jackie Hooker of Lubbock, Texas and TaJaih Ardrey of Houston, Texas 1 son, Tony Ardrey of Liberal, Kansas 2 sisters 3 brothers and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. R. L. Smith officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
