alignjustifyTheda Vera Margaret West age 87 of Clovis, New Mexico died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born March 8, 1921 in Taft, New Mexico to William Thomas and Lucy Brisendine Walker. She was raised in Portales, New Mexico where she graduated high school and met her husband Clyde West. She and Clyde were married in 1939 and moved to Roswell, New Mexico where they owned and operated a laundrymat. They later moved to Clovis and built their home. Theda was a homemaker and took pride in her home. She had many hobbies during her life. She loved boating and camping. She traveled and saw many countries which included Germany, Israel and Mexico to name a few as well as many places in the United States. She crafted and sold Indian Jewelry which was part of her heritage. In later years she was known for her ceramics that she made and sold.

alignjustifyShe was preceded in death by her parents, two Brothers Tuska and Tellan; three Sisters Eula, June and Pansy. She is survived by her husband Clyde West of the home in Clovis; two Sisters-in-law Irene Walker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Zelna Walker of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Several nieces and nephews; Dorothy Davis and her daughter Elaine Baldwin; Rodney Knighten; and Tereca and Lyndon.
