Thelda Poor

Thelda N. Poor, 77, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Friday, April 4, 2008, at her home in Clovis. She was born February 18, 1931 in Clovis to Chancy and Velma Smith Grimes.

She was raised in Clovis and graduated from Clovis High School in 1948. She worked as a bookkeeper for several Clovis businesses. She married Gail Moore May 23, 1948. He preceded her in death May 11, 1975. She married Donald Poor March 25, 1977. He preceded her in death June 10, 2005. She was a member of 16th Pile Church of Christ.

She is survived by 1 son, Terry Moore Kym of Clovis; 1 daughter, Penny Phillips Howard of Clovis; 2 brothers, Wilbur Grimes of Duncan, Oklahoma and Wendell Grimes Sherry of Sulphur Springs, Texas; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands and 1 sister-in-law, Barbara Grimes.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Steed-Todd Chapel with Jim Gammon officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.

Casket bearers will be grandsons, Brad Phillips, Justin Phillips, Rick Pilant, Aaron Phillips, Greg Moore Ron Walker.
