Thomas Leon Box, of Clovis, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 10, 2006, a day after his 70th birthday. Leon was married to Genevieve K. Jackson for 35 years and they were long time residents of the Grady community, where they farmed and ranched. They attended the Church of the Nazarene in Broadview, New Mexico. Leon was very passionate about his children and grandchildren as well as playing his guitar and singing in church. brbrLeon is preceded in death by his father, Grady Box; his in-laws, Virgil Alta Jackson, and his daughter, Syndy Shaddix. Leon was survived by his wife, Gene Box; his five children, Mike, Keith, Sonny, David, and Virgil; his granchildren, Monique, Jeff, Mary, Natasha, Rachel, Shanna, Brittney, Austin, Kevin, Jordan, Jeremy, Brandon, Brian; his six great granddaughters; his mother, Rosie B. Box; his siblings, Marcie, Grady, and LaVell; and his brother-in-law, Bo Jackson.brbrMemorial services will be held at Broadview Church of the Nazarene on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Garth Hyde officiating. A time of fellowship will follow the services.brbrIn lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributins be made to the Alzheimers Foundation.brbrArrangements are under the direction of Steed-Todd Funeral Home, Clovis, New Mexico.
