Thomas Sheehan

September 25, 1925 — December 11, 2010

Thomas Sheehan age 85 of Clovis passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Thomas was born September 25, 1925 in Waynesville, North Carolina to Earl and Etta Mehassey Sheehan. Thomas served in the United States Navy where he was very proud of his service serving in WWII, Korean Conflict and Vietnam. After a 20 year career he retired and worked in construction as a mechanical engineer. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. He married Josephine Oak in June of 1956. She preceded him in death May 29th of 1995.Thomas received his Masters degree from UCLA and was very fond of Clovis Community College where he took classes into his 70s.

Thomas is survived by his daughter Dianna and Richard Smith of Alcalde, New Mexico one son Stephen Sheehan of Casper, Wyoming two sisters Jean ODonnell of Beverly Hills, Florida Virginia Ash of Waynesville, North Carolina grandson David Adrian Sheehan step grandchildren Kyle and Amanda Smith. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and one brother Samuel R. Sheehan.

Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at SteedTodd Chapel with full military honors to follow. Cremation has taken place and burial of his cremains will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Toys for Tots program
