He was a teacher for 31 years with 28 of those years teaching Industrial Arts at Marshall Junior High.brbrDuring his professional career he was President of the Industrial Arts Association of NewbrMexico in 1963; President of the Clovis Education Association in 1966; President of the Curry Credit Union from 1956 to 1972; and served as the President of the Retired Teachers Association of Curry County in 1981. Tom was selected as the Teacher of the Year for the Clovis School System in 1973; and inducted into the South Eastern New Mexico Hall of Fame for Teachers in May of 1985. He was a member and Deacon at the Parkland Baptist Church. Thomas leaves behind a host of friends.
