It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Tony Cristian, who left us far too soon at the age of 18 on January 11, 2025.
Tony was born on June 18, 2006, in Clovis, New Mexico, to Tony Cristan and Sally Cristan. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, David Rangel Cristan and Rudy Armijo.
He is survived by his father, Tony Cristan of Clovis; his mother, Sally Cristan; his brother, Ramon Cristan of Clovis; Anthony Gurule; and his sister, Chastidy Dominguez. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Ayana Saiz. His grandmothers, Estella Hernandez and Mary Lou Chavez, also mourn his loss.
Tony leaves behind his nephews, Vicente Cristan, Elias Cristan, Aiden Dominguez, and Jose DeHerra, as well as his niece, Lileanna Cristan.
The pallbearers honoring his memory are Jesse Molina, Beniceo Molina, Santana Molina, Nathanial Vale, Tay Lewis, Isaiah Cruz, Zay Briant, and Edwin Gutierrez
Tony was a bright, shining light in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His infectious smile could brighten even the darkest day, and his quick humor and boundless charm made it impossible not to feel joy when he was around. He had a knack for making people laugh and loved nothing more than bringing smiles to the faces of those he cared for.
Tony's life was an adventure-one he embraced with boldness, courage, and just the right amount of swagger. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he tackled every moment head-on, with energy and confidence that left those around him in awe. He had a passion for looking sharp, making sure his kicks were always fresh, with not a crease in sight. He lived by a motto of excellence, both in fashion and in life.
A devoted son, brother, cousin, and friend, Tony placed family above all else. He would go to any length to protect and support his loved ones. Sundays were sacred, spent cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys with his dad and brother, yelling at the screen with equal parts frustration and hope. A fierce athlete, Tony excelled at every sport he tried, bringing the same drive and determination to the field that he carried in his heart.
Music was the soundtrack to Tony's life. He loved the beats and lyrics of NBA YoungBoy, always finding rhythm and inspiration in the songs that spoke to him.
Tony's hard work, endless optimism, and zest for life made an indelible mark on the world, one we will forever cherish. Though his time with us was far too brief, his memory will live on in the laughter he sparked, the lessons he taught us about living fearlessly, and the deep love he shared with everyone he met.
Rest easy, Tony. We'll keep the adventure going in your honor. Fly high, and keep your kicks fresh up there. We love you forever.
