Tyler Allen Chitwood, 50, of Clovis, NM, passed away on October 7, 2017 in Clovis.
Funeral services will be held in the Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30am on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Wayne Boydstun, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Cemetery. Tyler was born in Clovis, New Mexico to Allen and Judy (Ward) Chitwood on September 15, 1967. Tyler graduated from Clovis High School in 1985. He married Suzanne Bollinger of Clovis.
He was a long-time employee of Southwest Cheese of Clovis as a Warehouse Team Leader.
He played softball his whole life and became an avid golfer in the last couple of years. He loved cars and motocross. He was a dedicated father, loving son and protective brother. He was loved and admired by so many friends and co-workers it is impossible to list them all. He would give anyone the shirt off his back.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Chitwood of Clovis, his father, Allen Chitwood of Clovis, his grandfather, Alton Ward of Clovis, his grandmother Laura Weede of Wichita Falls, Texas. Survivors include: sons, Stacy Chitwood and AJ Chitwood of Clovis, his sister, Michelle Southard of Amarillo, Texas, his mother, Judy Herring of Hereford, Texas, grandmother, Betty Ward of Clovis, his uncle and aunt, Daryl and Tina Ward of Clovis, aunt, Charyl Ward of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, uncle, Kevin Ward of Hobbs, New Mexico, uncle Dale Chitwood of Wichita Falls, Texas, aunt Jana Weede of Wichita Falls, Texas, nieces, Saibree Boyd of Amarillo, Caitlin Beltran of Canyon, Texas, and Logan Beltran of Canyon, Texas, and nephew, Tucker Southard of Amarillo, Texas, and many cousins and extended family members.
Pallbearers are Stacy Chitwood, AJ Chitwood, Ian Ward, Jessie Carter, Danny Garcia and Jay Bollinger.
Memorials may be given to a charity of your choice, but Tyler had a special place in his heart for cancer research.
