Ulric Henson

Ulric W. UW Henson age 83 of Clovis, NM passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. He was born January 14, 1924 in Grady, NM to John and Eda McCasland Henson. He came to Clovis in 1943 and joined the Army Air Force where he served in WWII. He married Cora J. Johnston December 17, 1948 in Ruidoso, NM. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad as a Conductor Brakeman where he later retired. He was a member of the 16th and Pile Church of Christ; he loved helping others volunteering doing Income Tax at the Senior Citizens Center and working in his garden.

He is survived by his wife Cora Henson of Clovis; one daughter Wessie and her husband Dwight of Lubbock, TX; One son Steve Henson of Clovis, NM; Two brothers UV Henson of Tucumcari, NM; Eumont Henson of Montrose, CO; one sister Altha Smith of Shawnee, OK; ten grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters Sondra Henson in 1975, Janice Ivy in 2004; parents, and one brother Udell Henson.
Services will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Steed-Todd Chapel with Jim Gammon officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
