Velma Brown

Velma Lee Brown, 90, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Retirement Ranch in Clovis. She was born March 13, 1918 in Fredonia, Texas to John H. Alice Cude Brown.

She married Wayne Brown August 25, 1945 in Brady, Texas. She had been a resident of Clovis since 1955 moving from Hereford, Texas. She was an artist and loved to sew, crochet and cook. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Reaves Carl of Clovis; 3 grandchildren, Vickie Nuckolls Grant of Clovis, Maxie Don Trull Katie of Fort Worth, Texas and Carla Farris Rick of Lubbock; 6 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister, Amanda Allen and brother, Johnny B. Brown.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008, at Resthaven Cemetery in Brady, Texas.
