Vera Ashley

Vera Mae Ashley, Age 81, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away October 10, 2014 at Retirement Ranch in Clovis.

Vera was born February 1, 1932 in Norphlet, Arkansas to Joseph Benjamin Brockett and Fannie Laverne Strickland. She was the Vice President of Clovis Concrete CO from 1957 to 1997 and then retired. Vera was also member of Central Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, three brothers, and two sisters.

Vera is survived by her loving husband Lavelle Ashley, they were married for 65 years, two sons Randy and wife Traci Ashley, and Tim and wife Celeste Ashley one daughter Toni and Husband Ronnie G. Autrey four brothers, three sisters, twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 11 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at SteedTodd Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at SteedTodd Funeral Home in Clovis, NM. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association and the Baptist Childrens Home in Portales.
