Vera Avon Lee Bold Krouskop, 81, went to be with the Lord Jesus on November 25, 2015. She passed away in Northwest Hospital in Amarillo Texas. She was born February 24, 1934 to Ralph T and Leetha (Coffman) Bailey in Wheatland, NM. Avon had three siblings. Her father was a farmer and evangelist in the church of the Nazarene. Her mother was a teacher. She attended Northwest Nazarene College where she met her first husband, Bud Bold. They married March 31, 1953. One year later God bless them with their first child and only son Ralph Leo Bold. Three years later they gave birth to their second child Barbara Avon. They then moved to Nampa Idaho where Bud and Avon were blessed with two more daughters, Paula Estelle and Charlene Elizabeth. The family then moved to Grady New Mexico in 1969.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Burnal (Bud) Bold on march 25, 1991. Avon married her beloved husband Richard Krouskop on September 17, 1995. She was blessed to join Richards family with hers.
Avon served as church pianist, Church board-member, church secretary, and missions' director at the Broadview church of the Nazarene in Broadview New Mexico. She was actively involved in the community serving at the senior adult center and supporting the Grady schools through sports event attendance and encouragement.
Survivors include her husband Richard Krouskop; one son, Ralph Bold and wife Quanah of Clovis New Mexico; three daughters Barbara Bold of Clovis New Mexico; Lanie Caudill and her husband Brack of Bella Vista Arkansas; Paula Johnson and husband Alan of Rogers Arkansas. One sister Elizabeth Sanderson of Carthage Missouri and one brother David Bailey and wife Gennie of Clovis, New Mexico; 10 grandchildren: Summer Lundsford, Joshua Bold, Lashauna Hedtke-Morris, Marietta Fulk, Zachary Johnson, Loran Sabrusula, Gabrielle Tellez, Oran Stoner, Noah Jackson, & Jacob Johnson; & 15 great grand children. Avon had numerous loved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 28 at 2:00 PM at Broadview church of the Nazarene in Broadview, New Mexico. Interment will be in Grady cemetery. Officiated by son-in-law Reverend Allen Johnson and grandson, Joshua Bold. Arrangements are made by Steed Todd funeral home of Clovis New Mexico. Memorials may be made to be Grady schools scholarship fund.
