Vernell Gayden

Vernell D. Gayden was born on December 22, 1922 in ODonnal, Texas to Luther and Lucy Modrall. She passed away on August 14, 2012 on Visalia, California at the age of 89. Vernell was a housewife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her sister Myrtle a brother Wade Modrall a Son Ernest Luther Gayden and her husband of 57 years, Roberts Bob F. Gayden.

Vernell is survived by her son Bert and his wife Janelle of Visalia, CA grandson, Eric of Dana Point, CA granddaughters, Michelle Furtaw and her husband Frank of Tulare, CA and Sandy Roberts and her husband Don of Tulare, CA. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren, Nick and Jaimee Roberts of Tulare, CA, Victoria, Alic, and Aimee Furtaw of Tulare, CA three sisters, Frankie Johnson and her husband Lewis of Haslet, TX, Velma Bollinger of Clovis, NM, Claudia Hollan and her husband Bill of Santa Fe, NM and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012 in the Portales Cemetery in Portales, New Mexico.
