Vernell Wall, 76, of Clovis, passed away at Retirement Ranch on Thursday, September 2, 2010. She was born on February 23, 1934, to Alexander and Mary Bumgarner Stephens in Turkey, Texas.
Vernell attended school in Clovis and graduated from Clovis High School. She worked at Western Machinery, where she met and later married Charles Wall. Vernell was a homemaker and mother. She was a longtime resident of Clovis and a member of The First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble, reading books and taking care of her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Phil Heselton of Portales, Misti Wall of Albuquerque one son, Lonnie Cindy Wall of Clovis three grandchildren, Charlayne Heselton of Clovis, Matt Lauren Wall of Midland, TX, and Trevor Wall of Clovis one greatgrandchild, Everett Wall, of Midland, TX one brother, Daryle Bobbie Stephens, of Clovis one sister, Belle Gus Guthrie of Yukon, OK and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wall and two sisters, Evelyn Hill and Manila Reed.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 6 at 10:00 a.m. at The First Presbyterian Church, in Clovis, New Mexico. Cremation has taken place.
