Vickie Devenport

Vickie Helena Rodriguez Devenport, age 62 passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at her home in Clovis, NM. She was born on November 17, 1948 to Valeriano Martha Rodriguez in Melrose, New Mexico. She met Wendell Devenport and married him in 1966. She lived most of her life in Clovis, NM. When her boys were growing up she enjoyed watching them in all their sports functions and later in life she enjoyed all the time she spent with her grandkids and greatgrandkids.

She is survived by five sons, Vernon, Chuck, Bengie, David and Kevin Devenport all of Clovis 21 grandkids, and 2 greatgrandkids numerous nieces and nephews, and two daughtersinlaw Melva Saiz Devenport and Tracy Devenport. Her brothers, Domingo Hope Rodriguez of Texas, Alfonso Margaret Rodriguez, Joe Mary Helen Rodriguez, Joe Frank Rodriguez, and Johnny Rodriguez all of Clovis, NM her sisters Virginia Joe Romero of Belen, NM, Helen Joe Martinez of Fort Sumner, NM and Francis Rodriguez of Clovis, NM.

She is preceded in death by a daughter Valerie Devenport, husband Wendell Devenport, father Valeriano Rodriguez on January 14, 1975, a brother Albert Rodriguez on July 4, 1983, and sister Ester Rodriguez Riviers on September 21, 2008.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2011, at SteedTodd Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jeffery Coffman officiating. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery in Melrose, New Mexico. Pall bearers will be Vernon, David, James, Thomas Devenport, Michael Romero and Ray Suniga.
