Violet was born to Dovie Taylor Woltmon in Denver, CO. She grew up in the Ranchvale and Clovis communities and graduated from Ranchvale High School in 1940. She married L.D. Bill Lynn on July 28, 1940. She and Bill were the owners of the Gattis Junior High School Store from 1959 to 1983. Bill preceded her in death on December 18, 1987. She married Hubert Qualls on November 18, 2004. Violet was the oldest of eleven siblings and a Charter Member of 16th and Pile Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her mother her first husband, Bill three brothers: Joe, Chief and Tom and one sister: Maxine.

She is survived by her husband Hubert Qualls, of the home one daughter and son in law: Marilynn and J.P. Knierim of Crowley, TX one son: Daniel Butch and Carol Lynn of Lawton, OK three grandsons: Kevin and Amy Knierim of Saginaw, TX, Jared and Kristi Knierim of Nashville, TN and Josh and Amber Lynn of Fairborn, OH five great grandchildren: Victor, Clayton and Paige Knierim and Karis and Lark Knierim two great grand dogs: Avery and Mattie Lynn two stepdaughters: Ruth Schell and husband Jimmy Grady, NM and Beth Hovey and husband David of Ranchvale, NM five step grandchildren four step great grandchildren and one step great great grandchild, all of Clovis, NM two brothers: Shorty Woltmon of Fair Oaks, CA and Don Woltmon of Mission, TX four sisters: Betty Cross of Plano, TX, Jerrine Edwards of Citrus Heights, CA, Pat Vail of Sacramento, CA and Jean Glenn of Citrus Heights, CA sistersinlaw and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at SteedTodd Funeral Home in Clovis, NM. Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 16th and Pile Church of Christ in Clovis, NM with Garrett Bookout officiating and J.P. Knierim presenting the eulogy. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, NM. Pallbearers are David Hovey, Jimmy Schell, Kevin Knierim, Jared Knierim, Josh Lynn and Clayton Knierim.
