alignjustify Long time resident, Irene Stanfield, passed away at her home, The Beehive, in Clovis, NM on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007. She was born Nov. 18, 1920 in Clovis to Sterling and Eva Lee Sharp. She married Ralph Stanfield on May 2, 1938 in Clovis.
alignjustify She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Stanfield in 1994, her grandson, Todd Shiplet, and eleven siblings. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Sandra and Bill Shiplet of Midland, TX, and Carolyn and Pat Newman of Edgewood, NM. She leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Diann Shiplet Hahn of Midland, TX, Lisa Cazes and Kelly Fisher, both of Oklahoma City, OK. Surviving great-grandchildren are Spencer Hahn, Cole Novak and Sophia Cazes, Logan Woods and Emelia Fisher.
alignjustify Mrs. Stanfield lived her life with the joy and expectation of one day seeing her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her precious husband. She has received her Eternal Reward to be Forever in the Mansions of the Lord.
alignjustify Mrs. Stanfield resided in Grady, NM for many years with her husband Ralph Stanfield, farmer and rancher. She served as Postmaster in the Grady Post Office for twenty-four years before retiring. She was a member of Parkland Baptist Church in Clovis.
alignjustify Services for Mrs. Stanfield will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Steed-Todd Chapel. Rev. Clyde Stanfield will officiate. Burial will follow at Grady Cemetery in Grady, NM. Honorary casket bearers will be the caretakers at the Beehive, Vista Care Nurses, and Manuel Rubio.
