aligncenterVirginia Mae Shipman age 90 passed away Thursday, May 08, 2008 at the Farwell Convalescent Center in Farwell, Texas . She was born April 20, 1918 in Clovis, New Mexico to Joseph R. and Celia Mae Woodward McGregor. She graduated from school in Clovis and then married J. Wesley J.W. Shipman in Portales, New Mexico. She was a homemaker, a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Clovis.

She is survived by her son Don and wife Viola Shipman of Bovina, Texas; one daughter Gale Freeman of Clovis; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two great grand grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, parents, and two grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Steed-Todd Chapel with Robert Barndt officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis. Pallbearers will be Walter Smith, Charles Wood, David Engram, David Curtis, Doug McGregor, and Swede Johnson. Arrangements are under the direction of Steed-Todd Funeral Home 800 E.
