Vivienne Schirley Parmenter, Age 91, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away June 21, 2014 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico.
Vivienne was born December 26, 1922 in New York City, NY to Nathan and Tillie Friedman. She married Foster Parmenter, from Henniker, NH, on March 22, 1952 in Yonkers, New York. Vivienne enjoyed knitting, collecting Hummels, and porcelain roses. She looked forward to her weekly visits to her hairdresser and nail technician. Although she was legally blind, she lived her life to the fullest, and enjoyed her weekly outings with her many friends. She held dual memberships with the Eastern Star at Keystone 27th Chapter, and Melrose Eastern Star Chapter 30. Vivienne was a Worthy Matron, and also held multiple offices in both chapters. She was a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Vivienne is survived by her son Jay and wife Kimberly Parmenter of Clovis, NM grandson Michael and Fiance Candace Parmenter of Lubbock, TX nephew Nathan Friedman of California two step grandchildren Seth Eaton of Portales, NM, and Kristi Eaton of Roswell, NM and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Foster, her parents Nathan and Tillie, two brothers Elliot and Albert Friedman, one niece Rosalind Bacon, and one nephew Warren Freidman.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 2800 Lore St. Clovis, NM. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests offerings be sent to the American Cancer Society, New Mexico Library for the Blind, and the American Heart Association.
