Wanda Beavers

alignjustify Wanda Ruth Beavers, 79, of Clovis died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born August 29, 1927 in Littlefield, TX to Tom Edwards and Verta Etta West Edwards. She married Orville Lee Beavers Sr. on July 6, 1942 in Belen, NM.

alignjustify Mrs. Beavers was a long time Texico resident who moved to Clovis in 1994. She loved to get together with her friends at Cheyenne Trails where she loved helping with the activities. She was a member of Texico Assembly of God for over 50 years.

alignjustify She is survived by a daughter, Tonia Robert Scales of Clovis; two sons, Orville Lee Nancy Beavers Jr. of Farwell, and Tommy Ray Laralani of Edgewood, NM; two brothers, Martin Beulah Edwards of Tahoka, TX, and Billy Joe Faye Edwards of Georgia; a sister-in-law, Delores Edwards of Farwell; ten grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Orville Sr. in 1988; a daughter, Ruth Painter; a brother, Raymond Edwards; and two sisters, Betty Harris and Delma Edwards.

alignjustify Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 6, 2007 at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis with Pastor Rodney Shipman officiating and Pastor Dale Griswold assisting. Burial will follow at Texico Cemetery in Texico, NM.

alignjustify Casket Bearers will be Kevin Akers, Roy Edwards, Scotty Edwards, Joel Edwards, Dell Edwards, and Tyler Knowton.
