Wanda Carter

Graveside services for Wanda Carter age 80 of Clovis will be held Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Texico Cemetery, in Texico New Mexico at 2:00 p.m.. She was born December 30, 1927 in Dimmitt, Texas to Andrew and Mary Ethel Baker. She passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. Wanda went to school in Portales and she was a homemaker. She loved dancing but the highlight of her life were her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by one daughter Leslie Floyd and her husband Max of Clovis; one son Kelly Carter and his wife Krissie of Clovis; one brother Ray Baker of Hobbs, New Mexico; six grandchildren Tammy Phillips of Logan, New Mexico, Bill Turpin IV of Clovis, Wade Turpin of Hooker, Oklahoma, Lillian Homer of Edgewood, New Mexico, Richard Miller of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kelly Carter, Jr. of Clovis, Evie Fisher and Chelsey Carter; sixteen great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
