Wanda Scott

Wanda Scott 89, of Clovis, NM died Monday, October 27, 2014 at Retirement Ranch.

She was born September 13, 1925 in Andrews County, Texas to D.S. and Fannie Ward. The family moved to Clovis in the 1930s. She met Earl C. Scott in Clovis and they were married here on February 23, 1947. The Scotts lived in Tucumcari for 3 years prior to returning to Clovis and Wanda began her career as a bookkeeper. She worked for Woolworth Company until they closed the store then worked for TGY, Woolco and retired in 1994 after 10 years with Walmart. Wanda was a member of the Rebekahs, Odd Fellows, and Eastern Star where she served as a Mother Advisor for Rainbows.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son David Scott, Sr. granddaughter Deborah Sullivan sister, Mildred Hollaway and brother Alton Ward.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years Earl C. Scott son Ronald E. Scott and wife Sharon daughter Sharon Askew and husband Win all of Clovis sister Hazel Longstreet of Dallas. Grandchildren are Jackie Jouett, Dironda Walley, David Scott, Jr., Robert Scott, Charlie Scott, Billy Bender, Johnny Bender and numerous great and greatgreat grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to ones choice.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Lawn Haven. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, October 31, 2014.
