Wanda Walkup

Wanda Lois Walkup passed away on 2/17/2022 in Rio Rancho at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center. She was surrounded by her husband Lloyd T. Walkup & son Tony L. Walkup by her side.

A celebration of life will be at Central Baptist Church in Clovis, NM at 10am, Friday, February 25, 2022 with visiting hours starting at 9:00 am. Pastor Michael Kirby will be officiating. Arrangements are by Steed Todd Funeral Home.

Wanda was born in Yarmouth, Maine on 9/7/1945 to Theo and Laurice Morrill. She attended Freeport High School graduating in 1963. She then went on to graduate from Gorham State Teachers College in Maine, in 1967. She married Lloyd T. Walkup on 4/12/1969 at Sage Air Force base in Topsham, Maine. She enjoyed traveling extensively, round and square dancing, Red Hat Club, 4-H and water aerobics. She worked as a teacher for a few years and substituted A Lot. She also worked at Freeport Nursing Home and many other jobs throughout her life. She truly loved life, her many other jobs throughout her life. She truly loved life, her many friends and family and never had an enemy.

She was proceeded in death my her father, Laurice Morrill, her mother Theo Morrill, and brother -in-law Arthur Hawkes.

She is survived by Husband Lloyd T. Walkup, son Tony L. Walkup and partner Allison Norton, Daughter Laurie Andrews, Husband Joe Andrews, Sister Brenda Hawkes, Sister-In-Law Mavis Walkup, Sister-in-law Vivian Grimes, Grandchildren Ayden M. Walkup, Kayla Andrews, Tyler Andrews. Nephew William Hawkes and Niece Ginger Franklin.

Memorials may be given in her name to Central Baptist Church 2501 N Norris St, Clovis, NM 88101 and or Cape Elizabeth Church of the Nazarene, 6 Susan Rd. Cape Elizabeth Maine 04107.

The family would like to thank the staff at Presbyterian Medical Center in Clovis, NM and Presbyterian Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho, NM and to many friends that helped as well.
