William Edwards, Jr.

William Edwards, Jr., age 81, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away on August 8, 2013 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico.

William was born on December 31, 1931 to William and Alice Elder Edwards in Tuttle, Oklahoma. He was a long time Clovis resident. He married Ora Darlene Johnson on June 5, 1954 in Clovis, New Mexico. William served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a mechanic at Watson Motors for thirtytwo years.

William is survived by three daughters: Debbie Richard Pounds of El Reno, Oklahoma, Karen Wayne Brooks of Ft. Worth, Texas and Vicki David Parrish, also of Ft. Worth, Texas one brother: Bob Pat Edwards of Midland, Texas two sisters: Peggy Smoot and Gladys Jim Pruitt, both of Clovis, New Mexico: five grandchildren: Salena Cheek, Matt Brooks, Alicia Loman, Sarah Brooks and David L. Parrish and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice Edwards and his wife, Ora Darlene.

Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at SteedTodd Funeral Home Chapel in Clovis, New Mexico with Glenda Horner officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis, New Mexico.
