A home going celebration for William A. Pete Rolley age 85 of Clovis will be held Friday, October 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Steed-Todd Chapel with Rev. Anthony Mahan officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories. Pallbearers will be Carless Queen, Brian Rolley, Cedric Smith, Micah Rolley, Devon Smith and Heath Cave. Mr. Rolley was born March 19, 1923 in San Gabriel, Texas to Osa and Mollie Veals Rolley. He passed away on Friday, October 24, 2008 at his home in Clovis. Mr. Rolley worked on a farm and ranch at an early age. He moved to Clovis in 1944 to work for the Santa Fe Railroad. He married Letha B. Pinchback on November 17, 1944 here in Clovis. He received Christ at a very young age and lived a Christian life. He was a founding member of Triangle Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board, was a Sunday School Superintendent, and served as Treasurer. He also was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mr. Rolley accepted his calling in life to help others and touched many lives while being employed with the Clovis Municipal Schools. He worked as a custodian at LaCasita, Cameo, and lastly Gattis Jr. High where he retired in 1985. He had also worked for Farmers Electric, Firestone and Big O tire stores.

He is survived by his four daughters Ann Hill of San Diego, California; Willie L. Queen, Deborah Rolley Smith and her husband Raymond, and LaNelda Rolley all of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sons Arthur Rolley and his wife Luanne of Clovis, and David Rolley and his wife Louise of Australia; one sister Silveree Brooks of Cameron, Texas; sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers and two sisters.
