Wilma L. Patterson, 97, of Keyes, Oklahoma, passed away on August 13th, 2024 in Amarillo, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones.
Wilma was born in Oklahoma to Harry and Mamie Ford on February 21st, 1927. She went to school in Keyes, Oklahoma. She married JW Patterson in Clovis, New Mexico in 1972. She held various jobs such as hair dresser, bank teller, and numerous clerical jobs.
Wilma had a great style and taste. Her favorite color was purple, from her home furnishings, to the color of her hair. She was known by her grandchildren as "Purple Grandma".
She was a faithful member of Kingswoods Methodist Church in Clovis, New Mexico.
Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mamie Ford, her husband, JW Patterson, siblings, Esther, Israel, Donald "Bud" Ford, and Winifred Ford, her children, Cathi Sue "Angel" Mullins, and Rodney Collinsworth.
Wilma is survived by her 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Wilma was laid to rest at Lawn Haven Cemetery in Clovis, New Mexico, alongside her husband JW Patterson.
