Woodrow Brant

W. B. Woody Brant passed from this life August 15, 2006 at 5:00 a.m. at Laurel Ridge Healthcare after a lengthy illness. Woody was born to Fred W. Pearl Brant at Brothers Valley, Pennsylvania October 22, 1918 and was one of eight children.

He obtained his Masters Degree in Theology from Ashland, Ohio and a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales. Woody loved the Lord and was a minister for over 60 years. He pastored churches in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Iowa and Missouri. He and daughter Mary Ann moved to Clovis in 1962. In 1966 he met and married Blanche Winfrey Norris May 15, 1966. Woody lost his eye sight in 1978 but continued to pastor churches with the help of his wife. They retired in Clovis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers; 1 sister and step son Richard Norris. He is survived by his wife Blanche of the home in Clovis; daughter Mary Ann Reynolds of Yale, Iowa; stepdaughter - Jean Jackson of the home; 2 grandsons; 2 granddaughters and 4 great grandchildren.

In death Woody continued to help people by donating his body to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 26, 2006 at the Church of the Brethren, 103 Acoma Dr. in Clovis with Jim Kelly officiating.
