Woodrow Lanier

Memorial service for Woodrow Lanier age 91 of Clovis will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at 21st Street Church of Christ with Cecil Bunch officiating. Mr. Lanier was born July 8, 1917 in Temple, Texas to John and Hattie Lanier. He passed away on November 13, 2008 at Retirement Ranch in Clovis. He worked as an engineer for the Santa Fe Railroad where he retired in 1977. He was married to Laveta M. McFarland on February 6, 1936 in Clovis for 71 years. He enjoyed motorcycles, wood working and repairing about almost anything. He was a member of 21st Street Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife Laveta M. Lanier of Clovis; one son Woodrow L. Lanier Delores of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; one grand daughter Andrea Lanier of Sausalito, California. He was preceded in death by his Parents, two brothers, and one sister.
