Zelma Colene Box, age 86 of Portales, New Mexico passed May 31, 2019.
Zelma Colene Box was born July 30, 1932 to Leonard Eady and Loveta (Mauldin) Eady. She married Anthony Louis Box on January 18, 1951. Zelma had one sister, Gwendolyn (Eady) Read and a brother, Arnold Neil Eady.

Colene was proceeded in death by her parents, siblings & husband.

Colene is survived by Anthony Lynn Box, Mildred Erlene (Box) Eubanks, Randy Box, Letetia Regina (Jeannie Box) Robbins, Grandchildren, Misty Box McQuillen, Cody Guss, Danielle Coller, Tabitha Johnson, Ricky Dalby, Chris Dearman, Leonard Box and Aaron Box. Great Grandchildren Alysha Guss, Cayden Collier, Nathaniel Collier, Jonathan West, Justin Guss, Hunter Guss, Dawn Guss, Devon Guss, Abigail Johnson, Brittney Johnson, Caron Johnson, Carol Johnson, Alexis Box, Dace McQuillen and 15 more great grandchildren from Randy's children.

Colene will be remembered by many. Including but not limited to the many girls whom she coached in softball and those she drove to school in her school bus. Also the many people she sewed for over the years. Colene was a hard working lady who loved life and the people of Portales.
