Robert Montano

Robert J. Monta�o, 66, of Clovis, NM, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.

Robert was born March 24, 1948 to John Joe "J.J" and Maria Monta�o, in Clovis, NM. He lived in Clovis most of his life. He married Elvira Chavez Monta�o on January 7, 1982 and raised their family of 2 boys and 1 girl here in Clovis. Robert worked as a foreman at the cemetery in Clovis.

Robert will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, son, brother, uncle, and grandpa. He enjoyed collecting model cars, and spending time with his family and his dog (Leroy) Brown Monta�o.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Maria Ann Monta�o and his dad John Joe "J.J" Monta�o.

Robert is survived by his wife Elvira Chavez Monta�o; sons, Max (Rose) Chavez, Mark Monta�o, Donald Sena, Robert Monta�o Jr., and daughter Ramona (Elijio) Sena; his mother, Maria Armijo Monta�o; brothers, Frankie (Olga) Monta�o, Richard (Dora) Monta�o, and Gary Monta�o; sisters, Gloria (John) Gomez, Christina Sena, Sinfora (Jesse) Lumbrera, Yolanda (Frank) Cortez, Connie (Bill) Monta�o; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Monta�o, Adrian Sena, J.J. Nixon-Monta�o, Gary Monta�o Jr., Freddy Garcia, and David Monta�o.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, January 16, 2015 at Steed Todd Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm Friday, January 16, 2015 at Steed Todd Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 pm Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff of Gentiva Hospice and Interim Healthcare, and everyone who has been there for them.
